The much sought after and ever popular Piton Calendar was launched last month and as is customary, it is a much talked about item from Windward and Leeward Brewery Limited and their world renowned Saint Lucian brew, Piton Beer.

In July of this year, Piton Beer launched its annual nationwide search for one local beauty to grace the two page calendar and to be the face of Piton Beer for 2012. After much sifting and screening of hundreds of submissions, the nod was given to 21 year old Talitha, who hails from the town of Gros Islet. The vivacious beauty says she was delighted to have been chosen as the face of Piton for 2012 and sees this as a springboard to more opportunities in this area. “This is an area I am really interested in as a model and I am really thankful to Piton for giving me this opportunity as I recognize the popularity of the Piton Calendar not just locally but overseas as well and the level of exposure which can be derived from this,” Talitha says. And she is right about the international appeal of the calendar, judging by the throng of visitors on Wednesday December 21 at Pointe Seraphine all seeking to lay their hands on one of the calendars. Talitha was at the time signing the poster size keepsakes at Sea Island Cotton Shops’ popular Rum Shop, which has become a must stop for cruise passengers year round.

A business student, the elegantly tall and leggy exotic beauty has ambitions of owning her business some day and has already advanced a business plan for marrying fashion designing and a fashion boutique. She says is passionate about fashion photography and print layout and advertising spreads as opposed to catwalk and runway and no doubt the Piton Calendar has boosted her confidence in that direction. Germaine Serieux, Piton Brand Manager believes that Talitha has done justice to the Piton brand and wishes her much success in 2012.
